Global increases in consumption are leading to scarcity of resources and large amounts of waste. Making better and smarter use of materials is economically and ecologically necessary. We need to ask ourselves: how can products and materials be reused in order to curb consumption? And how do we combine services with goods, in order to prolong their usability?
This transition is especially challenging for smaller businesses, as it requires applying new innovative business models and developing new concepts in critical areas such as supply chain collaboration, pricing, and financing.
