    Liberation Scholarship Program

    For students from Canada

    The Liberation Scholarship Program offers 70 scholarships to highly motivated students from Canada who would like to study in the Netherlands for three to twelve months and become part of the long-standing historic ties between the two countries.

    To celebrate seventy years of liberation and honour the sacrifices Canadian soldiers made for our freedom, the Netherlands launches the Liberation Scholarship Program, as a token of lasting gratitude and friendship. 

    Participating exchange programmes

    The following exchange programmes of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences that start in February 2016 are eligible for the Liberation Scholarship Program:

    Rotterdam Business School

    School of Financial Management

    Willem de Kooning Academy

    Please check the programme of your choice to find out more about the admission requirements and the duration of the programme.

    Scholarship amount

    You will receive a one-off scholarship to cover international travel and initial costs for your stay in the Netherlands, which you will receive one month after the start of your study period in the Netherlands.

    Application criteria

    • You have Canadian citizenship.
    • You apply for a study period of between three and twelve months.
    • Your study period in the Netherlands starts before 1 September 2016.
    • You meet the specific requirements of the school of your choice. 

    How to apply

    The application is closed as of the 1st of October 2015. Students can not apply for this scholarship anymore.

    After your submission of the application form, Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences will nominate the candidates and inform all candidates individually on the outcome of the first selection. EP-Nuffic in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will do the final selection of scholarship recipients.
