Lecturer & Coach, PhD candidate, education & learning expert

As a lecturer, coach and researcher I am driven to contribute to a more sustainable and just society through transformative education. I aim to co-create learning environments that foster personal growth as well as transitions toward sustainability: individual coaching, joint learning, critical dialogues and transformative initiatives.

Helping students to discover their own way of facilitating change toward a society they aspire.

With my background in education and sustainable development I am convinced that such learning environments can play a powerful role in the transformation toward a sustainable society. As a teacher, educational consultant and researcher in (disadvantaged) urban areas my focus has always been on empowering people to engage in issues they care about and pursue aspirations for personal growth. In 2008 I joined the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences as a teacher, educational designer and researcher. In that role I have since 2017 contributed to developing the Master River Delta Development where I am now part of the teaching team.

It is great when you dare to take leadership, choose topics you are committed to and use your skills, imagination and courage to explore new ways for creating sustainable solutions to actual challenges. My aim is that the living labs support that type of transformative learning.
