“The students' achievement in quickly gathering relevant information within the complex environment of six hospitals deserves high praise. Their approach to refining the proposal when the original assignment proved unfeasible demonstrates their professionalism. This resulted in a practical end product that is already being used to improve processes within our organisations. Maasstad Hospital is already implementing concrete optimisations, while other hospitals are analysing the necessary steps. The students' work ensures that everyone makes effective progress.”
Paul van Weelden, Programme Manager for Climate Action in Healthcare and Circularity, City of Rotterdam

"We collaborated with two business administration students and one marketing student to explore how our company could become future-proof. Their diverse backgrounds complemented each other well, enabling them to conduct thorough research together. Thanks to their efforts, we are now considering adding new products to our range."

Top 3 Frequently Asked Questions
-
Can I offer a project to RBS at any time?
At RBS, education and research are organised in semesters, running approximately from September to January and February to June. These are the periods when our students typically work on projects.
Interested in collaborating? Make sure to contact us at least two months in advance so we can include your project in one of the semesters. -
How much time will it take to supervise students?
Our students will need input from you, which requires time on your part as the client. The more effort you invest in guiding them, the more you will gain from the collaboration. Be sure to allocate enough time for this process. The exact time required depends on the nature of the collaboration. -
Do I need to pay students or RBS for the collaboration?
In The Netherlands, it is customary to provide students with an allowance for internships or project-based assignments, depending on the project’s scope and duration. Typically, this allowance ranges from €250 to €750 per student. While this may differ from practices in other countries, we believe that offering an allowance recognizes the commitment and contributions students bring to their work..
"The International Business interns who joined our procurement department were a pleasure to work with. Their strong academic foundation translated into a quick understanding of our processes, and their commitment to learning was evident in their proactive approach to tasks. They readily integrated into our team, demonstrating a willingness to contribute and learn from the cultural experience. It's clear that their International Business education instilled in them not only knowledge but also a valuable sense of curiosity and adaptability."
