Students from the Business IT & Management programme won the Future Makers Award in the Smart & Social City category for their project, 'AI Chatbot Social Map Gouda'. The project uses generative AI to benefit citizens in the Gouda region.

Fieldlab Gambia wins Future Makers Award for ‘Future-Proof Economy’

Students from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences researched indigenous plant species that could serve as an alternative to antibiotics for the Fieldlab Gambia project. They discovered these substances in mango skin, among other places, and won a Future Makers Award in the ‘Future-Proof Economy’ category for their research.

Future Makers Award ‘Vital Community’ for research into frequent 112 callers

Natalie obtained her Master's degree in Advanced Nursing Practice through her research into 'frequent callers' to the ambulance service. During the launch of the academic year at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, she received the Future Makers Award in the ‘Vital Community’ category. Her research improves patient care and eases the burden on Rotterdam's ambulance services.
