    Debt

Do you have serious financial troubles, and do you not know how to tackle them? Are you trying to pay off a debt, and at the same time focus on your study programme? Below you will find pratical tips and information.

    Make a list

The first step in solving financial problems is to get a realistic idea of your situation. It helps to make a list including how much you owe and to whom. Once you list everything clearly, it will give you a feeling of calmness and allow you to think about how you will repay your debt.

Is it difficult for you to create an overview? Ask for help from someone who is good at keeping administration and with Excel software.

    Arrange a settlement

Another important step is for you to contact the person and or organisation whom you owe money, and realise a payment arrangement. The sooner you can make agreements, the less debt you will have. If you do not do anything, and ignore your debt, the consequences will be greater (such as collection agencies, claims and other legal measures). Once you have come to a payment arrangement, you will prevent these unwanted measures.
